KnitCast 25 - Shannon Okey
New episode finally in iTunes! Woot!
I meet Shannon Okey, author of Knitgrrl 2!
Remember, you don't need an iPod to listen to the show. You can download it by clicking on the following link:
To save your hard drive - right-click on the link and choose "save link" if using a PC, or hold down the mouse button and choose "save to disk" if using a Mac.
Save it to a folder where you can easily find it. Please consult your software help files, eg iTunes, to find out how to add the file to your music library or put it on your iPod.
If you have a podcast aggregator like iPodder or iPodderX you can subscribe to KnitCast using this feed - http://feeds.feedburner.com/Knitcast. If you have iTunes you can subscribe by searching for KnitCast in the podcast section of the iTunes store and clicking on "subscribe".
Please read the help files of these programs if you have problems subscribing.
Subscribing gets you the latest edition downloaded automatically to your computer. You can access older editions by manually downloading them from the archives.

If you listened to the podcast and thought "hey, it just ended with no back link!", you're right. I forgot to record one! I'm just uploading it to Libsyn while writing this and realised my mistake. However it's taken me so long to post this edition I think you'll forgive me for not wanting to take even longer to post it!
And to the competition!
I have one copy of KnitGrrl 2 by Shannon Okey to give away. I wanted to think up some fancy question but have been too busy, so instead you can enter by emailing me at the usual address with Competition in the subject line. In the body of the email be sure to include your full name and address including any post or zip codes and the country where you live.

Alas, I can't download your show via itunes. It isn't recognising the RSS feed. (don't worry I still downloaded from your site)
Here is the exact error message if it will help
"KnitCast" doesn't seem to be a valid Podcast URL.
Please check that you have entered the correct URL and try again.
I know I have, because I subscribed through itunes and have gotten the last three podcasts as they were posted.
Thanks for putting together such a great podcast. I enjoy listening to you and I re-listen to your podcasts frequently. I may have to buy an IPod.

Marlene, I'm not sure what you tried to do in iTunes but as I explained in the above blog post, the new episode isn't actually in iTunes yet. That's why you can't find it :)
I will update the blog when the new episode is in iTunes.

Mz Mar, I'm not deliberately withholding the latest ep from iTunes! I'm having issues getting the RSS feed encoded properly.:( Hopefully I'll get the code cracked this weekend

I have a different problem. My downloads quit about half-way through the program. I use Juice.

Hi
FOr some reason I cannot download episodes after number 16 to iTunes. Neither can I save and then import the files. Do you have any other suggestions that I can try to download your later episodes ( I had thought that you hadn't been 'casting since iTunes hadn't been updating).
