Knitting on BBC Radio Wales

It's been a long time in the making but my programme "Wales in Stitches" is being broadcast tomorrow, Sunday March 11th, at 12pm GMT. It'll be repeated at 9.30pm on Wednesday March 14th. It features interviews from a hen party in a yarn store, artist Kelly Jenkins, hand dyer Jeni Brown and fellow podcaster Brenda Dayne.

It won't be available as a podcast but you can listen live via Real Player www.bbc.co.uk/radiowales

At the moment it looks like KnitCast will be returning in April.

How to Knit a Poem

Well some have been asking where I've been and the answer is over on my knitting blog

I've been so busy with unpacking that I actually forgot that there was a four part series called "How to Knit a Poem" presented by the National Poet of Wales Gwyneth Lewis starting today. In fact it's starting in less than an hours time on BBC Radio 4. Oh and I'm interviewed in the first one I think....:)

You should be able to listen online here

Knitcast will return in 2007.

Competition Closed and KnitCast on Vacation!

Thank you for all your entries! And so exciting to see the different countries that listeners live in!

But you'll have to wait until I get back from holiday to hear who won. In just over an hour we're off to San Francisco. A little more on that can be found on my knitting blog, now I have to finish packing! :)

Seamless - webcast and more info
Thanks to Jess for this.

If you listened to the podcast and thought "hey, it just ended with no back link!", you're right. I forgot to record one! I'm just uploading it to Libsyn while writing this and realised my mistake. However it's taken me so long to post this edition I think you'll forgive me for not wanting to take even longer to post it!

And to the competition!

I have one copy of KnitGrrl 2 by Shannon Okey to give away. I wanted to think up some fancy question but have been too busy, so instead you can enter by emailing me at the usual address with Competition in the subject line. In the body of the email be sure to include your full name and address including any post or zip codes and the country where you live.

The deadline to get your entry in is September 1st. I will then put everyone's names in a tub and and draw one lucky winner. The winner will get the book posted to them. Good luck everyone! Oh and sorry but multiple entries will not be accepted.

On the next KnitCast...

Thanks for all the comments, glad everyone's still enjoying the show despite the fact that I can't always get it online as often as I'd like. But the RSSissues are resolved and Toronto is showing up in iTunes. The next edition will be the long awaitedinterview with Shannon Okey and they'll be a competition!

So, when will it be up you ask? Sometime in the middle of next week, either Tuesday or Wednesday. In the meantime, thanks again for listening!

Update - this will now be online the evening of Monday August 7th. Sorry for the delay folks but I have been busy with my dayjob and other things that can't be blogged at this time.

KnitCast 21 delayed until Wednesday Feb 8th

KnitCast is delayed now until Wednesday because of my recent illness, plus technical problems. It's knocked everything on I'm afraid. Oh and I ate some dodgey salmon at lunch, I think, and may stomach has been off kilter ever since. Sigh.

And KnitCast may well have a short commercial at the beginning of each podcast from Monday. I apologise for this in advance but it's to help cover fees for things like web hosting and the domain. It won't be too intrusive though or effect editorial judgement of the show.
