At last, the first edition of KnitCast is ready! You can download it by clicking on the following link:
KnitCast 01 - The Knitting Biologists
Or right click on the link and choose "save as" to save it to your hard drive.
KnitCast 01 - The Knitting Biologists. I meet the biologists who get inspiration for their knitting from fungi and bacteria!
I'll be posting images of their influences soon.
Please let me know if you've downloaded the podcast. I also want to know what you think of it. Just click the email link under Feedback on the right hand side of the blog.
In the next Knitcast I'll be talking to knitter and blogger extraordinaire, Wendy Johnson. If you have any questions for Wendy please email them to me.
I'm going to be setting up an email list to notify people when a new podcast is ready. If you'd like me to add you to the list then send me an email with "Subscribe Update List" in the subject line.
What a fab idea! Thank you for putting this together. Hearing people speak about their inspirations and projects is completely different than reading about it on their blogs. For me, I find it particuarly interesting to hear peoples voices, and more specifically the emotions within their voices!! I look forward to upcoming Knitcasts!!

This is so fantastic! I happen to be a science-type, so I really enjoyed the descriptions of the fungi! For those of us who usually listen to NPR (National Public Radio) while knitting, this is a perfect combination! I am looking forward to your next one.

Absolutely enjoyable! I hope you continue to be inspired to produce more podcasts, and look forward to hearing the interview with Wendy Johnson. Is Lucy going to add her voice to the interview as well? I'd like to know how Wendy comes up with her designs. Does she take a basic pattern and modify it, does she draw a rough design and use it as a guide, or does she just start knitting to see what takes shape in her head (and hands)? Please add me to your notification list as well. Thank you!

Great podcast! Had seen the link on your site about a day or so ago and then this morning read an article in the NYTimes re:podcasting. Well, I just had to go back to your site and listen. So enjoyable and, as others have written, very professionally produced. I look forward to future casts.
